Mae Murray Foundation is a charity based in Northern Ireland, working to create a society where disabled people of all ages and abilities can participate fully and feel a true sense of belonging. Too often, disabled individuals and families are excluded from everyday life due to physical, social, and attitudinal barriers. This leads to isolation, poor mental health, and a lack of opportunity. We believe no one should be left behind. We work with disabled people to co-create inclusive activities, events and programmes — from beach days and all-ability clubs to online workshops and systemic advocacy. Everything we do is shaped by lived experience. We’re building a world where disabled people and families feel seen, supported and celebrated — but inclusion doesn’t happen by accident. It takes challenge, collaboration and real change. By supporting us, you're helping break down barriers and create lasting impact. Together, we can create a society where everyone can belong, participate, and thrive.

Story

The Mae Murray Foundation has been set up to allow people of all ages and abilities to take part in activities, experience the world and enjoy friendship together in an inclusive environment.

They were the only charity that supported us during our 7 year campaign to allow assisted runners to take part in the London Marathon, despite us approaching all major UK disability charities for support.

They gave up their charity ballot space on principal because their members could not, at that time, take part in the event.

We would like to try and raise some funds to help them continue the fantastic work that they do for inclusion, something we both feel very passionate about.
