We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 25th /26th August I will be walking 100km in 24+ hours along the South Downs Way fundraising for Brain Tumour Research in loving memory of my wonderful and courageous husband.

Stage 1 - Eastbourne to Alfriston

Stage 2 - Alfriston to Hove

Stage 3 - Hove to Windlesham

Stage 4 - Windlesham to Arundel

I will share photos as I begin this epic challenge. The Ultra Challenge Team will provide all walkers with support and hospitality to help us along the way. We will get food & drink to keep our energy levels up with covered facilities and plenty of refreshment stops every 12-15km to rest, recuperate and energise as we go!

I’m looking forward to seeing some of England’s finest scenery - up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters and along the South Downs Way with stunning views to a Brighton mid-point. Devil’s Dyke, welcome rest stops, ups and downs all lie ahead before the historic Arundel comes into view.

The Brain Tumour Research Team have been incredibly supportive to ‘Team Leggett’ and we will endeavour to continue fundraising for this amazing charity -  if you feel able to donate this would much appreciated.

Thank you for helping us fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
