Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at the age of 47 was a life changing event for me. My future quality of life is dependent on a breakthrough in the treatment. The more money that is raised the more likely one will be found!

I realise I can't just rely on others to take the initiative. Before I lose my own independence, I want to do what I can to raise funds for Parkinsons research..

I have therefore persuaded a small group of friends to change plans for a leisurely stroll on the south coast and instead help me get up the 9 mile route to the top of Snowdon. As I now find walking a few hundred yards a bit of a struggle this will definately be a challenge!.

Most people know someone affected by Parkinsons, and as we all live longer it will become increasingly prevalent. Despite the good efforts to date progress towards a cure has been slow and we need all the help we can get to find a breakthrough.

Thanks for your contribution
