Regain - Bike Vietnam to Cambodia · 27 November 2009 to 6 December 2009 ·
In November 2009, our team - David Rowlands, Ric Hennessy and Nathan Rowlands will be riding from Vietnam to Cambodia on bicycles as part of a team assembled by Regain. The purpose of this challenge is to raise money for Regain, Britain's only charity dedicated solely to supporting men and women who have become tetraplegic as a result of a sporting accident.
The challenge itself is to ride from Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in Vietnam to the Angkor Wat in Cambodia - a distance of 450km. The ride is intensive covering over 100km on some days, and including riding off-road at times in temperatures in excess of 30˚C. But the most important part of our mission is to raise money for the charity. The challenge requires each of us to raise a minimum of £3,200 (which includes the cost of the trip); however we have set a team target of raising at least £15,000. The total shown above includes gift aid.
We have set up this website so that anyone may donate to support Regain in continuing their fantastic work. Please donate whatever you can to this worthy cause, or alternatively we are welcoming any advice and ideas to support our fundraising efforts. Anything you can donate, be it money, advice or simply support on those long hours of training would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support.
Donating through Justgiving.com is totally secure and if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many Thanks
