Story
I am proud to lead Team Ned on another walking challenge to raise money to support people living with MND and to help fund research
MND is always fatal, the cause is unknown and there is no cure.
My friend, Ned was diagnosed with MND at the age of 33, before this he was an active and healthy Harrier pilot. This disease has turned his life upside down and left him unable to move, eat or speak. But 11 years later he is still fighting and determined to spend as much time as possible with his wife and young son.
So far, Ned has inspired me to conquer the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, the 7 sisters marathon, as well as organise an auction, gigs, clothes swap parties, garden parties and other events. On 6 September I'll be leading Team Ned on a 26 mile circular walk in the Peak District - the 6 Dales Marathon (organised by Cambs branch MNDA)
My fitness has improved dramatically over the last couple of years, but alas my navigation skills still need work (don't tell the rest of the team) - so on top of a 10 hour plus walk, this is where the big challenge lies (the plus depends on how lost I get)
I would really appreciate your support. Any donation will make a real difference. The money raised will go into the Ned Cullen Fighting MND fund and from there be split with 50% supporting families living with MND and 50% funding research.
thank youx
