Team PvB One in a million steps challenge · 1 January 2021

The Million Steps challenge is an individual or team event. Walk, Run, Trek, Dance or Cycle a distance of 500 miles in 100 days to help transform the lives of Bradford's children & young people living in disadvantaged communities (see www.oiam.org).

Story

The "Million Steps Challenge for One In A Million" is to complete 500 miles in 100 days by Walking, Running or Cycling in a group or as an individual. Every step will help transform the lives of children & young people living in disadvantaged communities of Bradford.

The four of us achieved 500 miles in 30 days in January and although we have tired legs, we said we would continue in February if others wanted to join the challenge.

WELCOME  Amanda & Lucy, Hannah & Anna!

Cover girl this week is Lucy who has been stepping out for OIAM and encouraged some generous donations - you are AMAZING Lucy!

We have renamed our group TEAM PvanB & pals and scott has created a spreadsheet. He has raised the goal to achieve 1.5 million steps / 750 miles between us this month so we all still need to get out and clock up an average of 8000 daily steps (5 miles).

One in a Million Children’s charity provide weekly sports, arts, education & enterprise pathways and programmes for over 1,500 children & young people every week living in disadvantaged communities of Bradford. There are over 35,000 children & young people who live below the poverty line in Bradford and the money raised will help support current and new projects designed to make a lasting difference to their lives.
