Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

Team QE consists of ultrasound staff, family & friends who all want to attempt the newcastle stampede mud run in memory of our much loved colleague Phil Elliott. Phil worked at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead for many years & was looking forward to his retirement full of cycling, travel abroad & trips in his newly converted campervan. Tragically the day after Phil retired he suffered a massive stroke which he couldn’t recover from and died 2 weeks later. He never got to enjoy the retirement he’d so carefully planned for. It was a huge shock to everyone, as work colleagues we want to raise funds toward stroke research & rehabilitation in his memory. We aim to give him a good laugh! Please help if you can xx
