London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·

We're fundraising to send 'Team Leeds' to the Transplant Games, an annual sporting event celebrating transplant patients and the donor families. This year the games will be held in Coventry in 2023!!

Story

We are fundraising for the Leeds Children's Transplant Team because they provide a wonderful opportunity for Hamish and children like him to participate in the Transplant Games. The games are amazing for meeting other children and families who have been through similar experiences.

Hamish had a kidney transplant in 2019 after his kidneys failed at the age of 2. He spent time on dialysis at the hospital before receiving a transplant from his Dad, Charlie. Post transplant life has given Hamish so much more energy, less hospital intervention and a hunger for food!

Hamish is taking part in the 2023 Transplant Games in Coventry and will compete in table tennis, obstacle course, sprinting and cup stacking. He had his last surgery 4 weeks ago but is hoping to give his sports his all!

Charlie is taking on the London Marathon again in 2024 to raise funds for Leeds Childrens Hospital.
