Ummah Welfare Trust was founded in 2001 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

Assalamalaykum Warahmatullahi Wabaraktuhu.

There is not much more I can say about the Genocide in Gaza which hasn't already been said.

However, we have a binding duty upon us to support and aid the Ummah wherever they may be. Regardless of which colour, nationality, culture they are from.

The Sunnah teaches us that when a Muslim calls out for help, his brother is there at hand to respond to his call, No ifs or buts......

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Save yourself from hellfire by giving even half a date-fruit in charity." - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 498

The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604

"Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 589
