Our man Gary Brompton was diagnosed last year with a rare form of cancer, his journey to recovery has involved chemotherapy and a major operation. But that all now done, he’s fought through it at every turn, and is now on the road to recovery aiming to return to work in June!

Gary has worked with Single Resource and Greencore for over 6-years, is very good at what he does and is a top bloke. In Single Resource we look after our own, with this we have completed an event to raise as much money as possible for Garys chosen charity - the Make-A-Wish Foundation - to make dreams come true for children with critical illness.

The reason Gary has chosen to support Make-A-Wish came about through his realisation of just how many children were waiting for serious medical care in hospital waiting areas. This determination of Garys to support a charity that has very quickly become close to his heart is one that everyone can relate to – as even those of us that don’t have children were once children ourselves.

In order to support this, raise awareness and fundraise for the charity, we have held a Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 4^th May 2019. This involved a gruelling 24-mile circular walk that climbs the iconic peaks of Yorkshire.

From all of us in the team - well done and thank you to all that took part in the challenge, thank you to all that donated and those that contributed with fundraising efforts to help us do our best to reach our target.
