It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. A group of students from Oldbury School Of Black Belts are taking part in a 3k mud run (https://www.mudkids.co.uk/birmingham) to raise money for The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity and would love your support.

The Children taking part in this event are:

Elise Mcpherson, Josh Robinson, Rory & Penny Sheppard, Chase Grainger, Jaime Hatton, Harry & Charlie Harvey, Harry Parkes, Abbie & Caitlin Stokes,
Tom & Jack Spooner, Maisie & Isabella Farrington, Elliott Osborne-McClung, Reggie & Ruby Baggott.

This is the children's first fundraising event as a team #TEAM SOBB and they are overwhelmed with the response from everyone so far. All the children
taking part in this event are lucky enough to be able to carry out a sport that they enjoy and love, where as some children unfortunately do not have the opportunity or are too poorly to do so. This is part of the reason why we have picked Birmingham children's hospital charity to fund raise for. This amazing hospital treats over 90,000 children each year.

Your donation could help in so many ways for example:

£10 could fund a 'babble bag' for our cleft lip and palate patients. The toys and books in the bag support activities to encourage speech development.

£25 could pay for a pair of professional singers to engage a child in songs at their bedside.

£100 could help fund a full-sized changing table for a disabled young person who requires support with their personal care.

£200 could pay for 125 activity packs for children waiting in the Emergency Department, reducing stress and anxiety.

£500 could pay for materials and food for healthy eating sessions for children with type 2 diabetes.

£1,000 could fund a new piece of equipment such as a urine analysis machine.

On behalf of all the children taking part in this event thank you to all the doners for helping them raise money for the Birmingham children's hospital. Your support is very encouraging to all taking part in the event.
