We are a group of family and friends who are trekking a 26 mile long walk in the Lake District on the 8th of August 2021 to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society. 

Our team consists of

Charlotte – A secondary school science teacher who has previously worked as a carer for people living with Dementia. 

Donna – As a support worker for JW Care Group, Donna is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of others, helping residents to pursue interests through access to community activities. 

Janet – Has previously worked for the NHS for 25 years and also founded JW Care Group, a care home provider specialising in young onset dementia. Janet has dedicated her life to improving the quality of life and wellbeing of her residents.  

Katie – Following in her mother Janet's footsteps, Katie is working for the NHS as a mental health nurse. 

Lynda – Is a support worker for the NHS and has tirelessly served her Staffordshire community for the last 20 years. 

Winta – Is a dedicated and committed staff member of JW Care Group, who plays an integral role in the day to day care of the residents.  

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
