Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you are aware Breast cancer is a cause that is very close to our hearts as a family. Our mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 5 years ago and following surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy is well on the road to recovery.

The reason we chose Breast Cancer Care, is that despite the fantastic news to date with our mum, the impact that Breast Cancer has on your life forever is massive. Our mum is very positive by nature but once the treatment finished there is a void - contrary to popular belief nobody ever says  "you've got the all clear" or that it will never come back. It is something that we can't begin to understand but the experts in Breast Cancer Care can as many have been in the same position themselves.

Recently, it seems that every couple of months we hear of someone who has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and many are very young with very young families. Breast Cancer care is there to support the families as well as the individual.

In order to raise money for this fantastic charity we've decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon, this is something that Rhian has done once before, however, Rhys and Glyn haven't!! Rhys has trained incredibly hard and gone from being able to run for a minute and then walk for two to building to the formidable 13.1 miles. Glyn has started training two weeks ago but is determined to finish!

Please dig deep and support this fantastic charity and we'll all dig deep and finish the 13.1 miles
