Cat Ellis is raising money for Barnardo's
Story
Anyone who knows me will know that I love a challenge and I love helping others and that's why signing up to this was perfect on both counts.
In May this year I will be climbing North Africa's highest peak - Mount Toubkal (13,671 ft) along with my fellow colleagues on a 5 day trek to raise money for Barnado's (a mountain 4 times as high a Snowdon)
As well as my role as a Project Manager at co-op I have a few other ventures which I am using to help raise money for this cause.
- I have been donating £5 from every PT session for the last year and until the trek
- A team of us sold tickets for a Free Prize Draw where local businesses kindly donated over 80 prizes. This draw took place 7th Nov - this added about £200 to my total and collectively the team raised nearly 2K which was epic
- I did a local car boot selling vintage clothes from my stall with help from my mum selling a brac - together we raised £180 from these events
Still to come
- 28th April - I’ll be doing a 12 hour sponsored DJ set at Blossom Street Social - come along for a Sunday sesh and feed me snacks!
- We will be running a social night at Angel square with games, crafts and prizes
