BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Standing together with communities experiencing injustice, we fight for trade that values people over profit. We used to be called Traidcraft Exchange.

Story

To celebrate Traidcraft’s 30th anniversary a team of approximately 18 staff members are entering the Great North Run with the aim of raising at least £2500 for our charity, Traidcraft Exchange.    The race takes place on the 20th September 2009 and the team has been training hard to make sure that they are ready to take on the challenge of 13 miles!

Right now, Traidcraft Exchange is working directly with 2 million people, and touching the lives of a further 24 million. Countless more benefit from our campaigning work.

People like Henry Mugao, a Tanzanian beekeeper.  With the right training and equipment, and the means to get his honey to market, Henry has started to turn his life around:“If I get more money for my honey, I will improve the house and make sure that my daughter continues to study, and the young ones will also go to secondary school.”

Traidcraft Exchange relies on voluntary donations from the public to support our work. By supporting Team Traidcraft today, you help us to maintain help for many more producers like Henry.
