Inspired by Mayor (Keith Lunn), a group of friends of all ages from the Harpenden area, have undertaken various endurance rides for a week, ahead of a well earned summer holiday with their families.
The above picture, with Keith crouching when his knees allowed, is of the team at the finish of a ride from Toledo in Spain to Lisbon in Portugal.
This year we are cycling 1000k unsupported from St Malo to Beziers in France.
Henry Callender, the youngest team member this year, has nominated the OLLIE foundation as our charity. They do great work to help young people in the St Albans area.
In 2016, three parents who had all lost their teenage sons to suicide, vowed to do all they could to prevent other families suffering similar tragedies. The OLLIE Foundation (One Life Lost is Enough) is a registered charity funding suicide intervention skills training for adults working with young people.Since their registration in 2016 we have trained over 400 people in suicide prevention.
Your generous sponsorship will help them to train even more people, break down the stigma attached to suicide, increase awareness, and spread their geographic reach.
Thank you for your support and inspiring us to complete the 1000k!
