Story
Team Winslow are raising vital money for Mind to help them improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding and we would love you to get involved.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem but hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. Mind believes nobody should face a mental health problem alone, so they are there to listen, support and provide advice. There are 125 local Minds across England and Wales that offer specialised support, we have chosen to partner up with Brecon and District Mind to support in providing the care and support to our local community.
Brecon Mind have helped families like Connor Hudson, who sadly ended his life in March 2020 after struggling with mental health problems. Connor was cherished and loved by everyone around him, Mandi Orton, his mother who was once part of the Winslow Team, says “if we can help just one person or family not go through the pain and heartache we have, then it will be worth it!” Mandi and her family will be joining us in raising vital awareness and donations for Brecon and District Mind in the month of March.
The global pandemic has created a mental health emergency, so Mind need our support now, more than ever.
This year Team Winslow are taking on the challenge of smashing last year’s total. We had fantastic results, raising an incredible £7,000 in memory of Connor to support our local Brecon Mind, and we achieved a step count of almost 44 million!! (43, 966, 031 to be exact = 20, 817.25 miles!!) With your support, Team Winslow hope to beat last year’s step count and donation figure from this challenge.
Mind is funded by donations, so every donation is appreciated, no matter the size.
Please support us to campaign for change and ensure
people get the mental health support they need by donating.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your contribution
