The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Along with owner of Yacht swift and co skipper John Bidwell, I am undertaking my biggest sporting challenge to date, the Azores & Back ocean yacht race. The challenge starts in Falmouth UK and the 1st leg is a distance of 1250 nautical miles to the Azores (porta Delgada) after a brief rest its leg 2 back to falmouth a total distance of 2500 Nautical miles, with a 2 man crew john and myself.

You may question why I would do such a thing!!, but I have a very compelling reason to do so, my dear Grandson Joe, who passed away suddenly and quiet unexpectedly at the age of 2 months from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) and this where we encountered a superb charity "The Lullaby trust" who have given my daughter Sophie & fiancee Tim and both families fantastic support in coming to terms with this tragic situation, which affected some 221 babies in 2012. They work tirelessly to find out what causes this fatal condition in young babies, so it is to this end we ask for your support by donating to our challenge to help us meet our target for the Lullaby trust.

This is half of our overall Target of £5000 the other half will go Cancer Research in memory of Johns brother, Peter, and my dear wife and Joe's Nana, Frances, both lost there brave fight against the illness, so please see our team page, to get behind the challenge. I thank you all very much and hope we can achieve our target.

Kind Regards

Barry
