Poverty 's hold on Ethiopia is being broken ! Self Help Groups in the poorest communities are being established by local church facilitators with support and expert advice from Tearfund . People and whole communities are being transformed as they receive education on income generation, business skills and learn about saving and small loans . Families are enabled to access food , education and health care , and an awareness of God's love for them . Let's see more Self Help Groups set up - and people living life to the full !
Newton Mearns Baptist Church will be praying, working to raise funds to enable the facilitators to continue and expand their work in the poorest areas and look forward to hearing stories of how the work progresses .
