We focus on early diagnosis and awareness to improve survival of pancreatic cancer

Story

I will be undertaking a 4,500 mile, off-road cycle ride in memory of three of my closest friends lost to Pancreatic Cancer over two years. Three of the kindest and most selfless people you could hope to meet. Anyone who knew them would be all the wiser and kinder.

Pancreatic Cancer Action are a national charity dedicated to saving lives by improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and the quality of patient survival. With your help we can fund vital research, produce national awareness campaigns, and vital patient information.

The duration of the ride is one year, equalling 12.33 miles per day, starting on the 1st January 2021. It will be done mostly on tracks around the Surrey, Hampshire border, including the Basingstoke Canal, River Wey, North / South Downs, Downs Link and Shipwrights Way, with hopefully some longer rides in between.

My progress, with notes, photos and Strava route files will be downloaded onto this page. Sponsors will be able to trace the routes and even cycle them themselves. The rides will mainly be half to one day in duration with some suitable for all the family while others will be a bit more challenging. The hope is that sponsors will follow my progress and donate as I go along. Together we CAN make a difference!
