Liverpool to Chester · 7 July 2013

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 7 July 2013 along with a few fellow friends I will be riding my bike from Liverpool to Chester to raise money for the RNIB which is the Royal National Institution of Blind People.

I would ask my friends on facebook if they would kindly donate a couple of quid to this worthy charity, my friend Dave Cowell was diagnosed with a condition of the eyes called macular degeneration. This is a condition is incurable and consequently, he has lost 60% of his vision of the past 12 months, and is getting worse.

Dave did a tandem bike ride last year with Jeff Higginson and Ian Shone from London to Paris, Jeff was taken very ill after the ride as he cut his leg and contracted septicemia and was very poorly but he is fighting fit again now, I’ve decided to do this ride for my friend and for the RNIB.

Please donate just a few pounds because I’m hoping to shed a few too.

Thank you
