Ted O Sullivan is raising money for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland
Story
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetically inherited life threatening disease without a cure. It primarily affects the respiratory and digestive systems of sufferers. The daughter of very good friends of mine, Nancy, was diagnosed with C.F. at birth. Now 18, Nancy is very well and attending University in France. The Cystic Fibrosis Association has been an enormous support to Nancy throughout her life, as well as to the many other sufferers who have not been as fortunate as she.
I am participating, with a small group of 6 others,in the Paris to Nice (P2N) Charity Cycle in September, to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland. We decided on P2N as, unlike most other charity events, 100% of all donations go directly to the charity with no deductions for costs of any kind. The participants pay all their own expenses including travel, food and accommodation. I think it is important that you know that any contribution you make to this wonderful charity will be donated to the charity in its entirety without any deductions.
While the Cystic Fibrosis association continues to give tremendous support to CF sufferers as they manage the effects of the disease on their daily lives, it is desperately in need of funds to continue its good work. The goal of our small group, through this cycle and other events that we have been holding, is to raise €100k by September. We are well on the road to that target, but still have some distance to go. This page represents my own individual contribution.
