As you may or may not know I am running the Brighton Marathon this year on the 17th April. I will be going through 26.2 miles of pain, sweat and tears (well probs the last 20 miles haha) to raise money for Tommy's an amazing charity who are working very hard every day of their lives to research into causes and prevention of miscarriage, still birth and premature birth and an information programme that supports pregnant women and their families.
Last year I was hugely affected to see some very brave and strong family friends go through a very tough time, giving birth to a small and premature but beautiful baby Teddy Jack who died at only 3 days old. This made me want to do something to possibly help them in any way, but how could I help them, I couldn't, however I can possibly help others that might unfortunately find themselves in this very sad situation and I can also keep Teddy Jacks short lived life a strong memory.
Jus over 10 years ago myself and my family also went thorough a very difficult and sad time saying goodbye to my 2 week old sister Gracie Tulip at only 2 weeks old. She had a rare condition called diaphragmatic hernia meaning her diaphragm was putting pressure on her lungs giving her great difficulty in breathing, she fought hard but sadly lost the fight after 2 weeks and I would also love to keep her memory strong.
With your help and the fact I'm probably gonna have a week of not walking after running 26.2 miles we can help Tommy's research pregnancy, birth and afterbirth and giving baby's a better chance to survive.
