Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On Saturday 30th June, seven friends - Chris Reid, Sam Peters, Alex Mackenzie, Sam Hyman, Ben Abrines, Alastair Grant and Tom Peters will tackle the ‘Three Peaks’, climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. During the day we will walk 42km and climb 9,800 feet as we scale Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon.
We are fundraising for Teddy's Wish(www.teddyswish.org), founded by myself Chris, and my wife, Jen in memory of our darling baby boy, Edward Louis Reid.
Edward was born on 18 January 2014. Our first baby, he was the brightest light in our lives. Tragically just 3 short months later on 16 April 2014 he became a victim of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and that light was extinguished.
On every medical test possible, our son Edward was perfectly healthy. Losing a child without reason and explanation has made this most devastating loss so much harder to bear.
We set up Teddy’s Wish out of a desperate need to understand why and to search for answers with the belief that no parent should ever have suffer the loss of a child. The charity raises much needed funds for research into SIDS, neonatal death and stillbirth and provides bereavement support services for grieving families.
In time, we hope to substantially reduce the numbers of babies lost each year. We know this can’t be achieved over night but hopefully like the mountains that await us in June, we are taking steps to search for answers and do something meaningful in Edward’s name.
Thank you for your support
