Story

Derby County Football Club has selected Derby Hospitals Children's Hospital as its dedicated charity appeal for the 2008/2009 season.

The partnership between Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Derby County Football Club was kicked off with a launch event on Thursday 6 November at the new Derby City General Hospital. The club along with Derby Hospitals Charitable Trust will be supporting the Teen Pride appeal over the course of 2008/2009 to raise money towards new facilities and equipment for teenage patients who visit the Children's Hospital at the Derby City General Hospital.

Teen Pride has already seen some successful events in 2009 inculding the Carsington Reservior Sponsored Walk, the Mensgroom charity shave and Derby County v Bristol City designated charity game.  The next event coming up is a chairty football game on 10th May held at Pride Park Stadium.  For more information see http://www.dcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/DesignatedCharities/0,,10270,00.html
