We are travelling to Punjab next month on behalf of Khalsa Aid to help with school projects run by the charity. Khalsa Aid helps educate underprivileged children, mostly from Sikh families, whose parents cannot afford to pay for education. This ensures that the children receive basic educational skills and keeps them within Sikh teachings and ethics. These projects require our help to keep them operational as Khalsa Aid gets no government grants. The donations will contribute towards running costs as well as providing the children with books, stationery, clothes, food, milk, etc. We will also speak to a few randomly chosen children to check on their wellbeing and spend some time to sit in the classes. 

We will be assessing the requirements when we are out there and use the donations according to priority and needs. Everything will be documented and recorded for reference. 

Furthermore we will also be visiting families affected by the conflict in 1984 and its aftermath supported by Khalsa Aid. With the donations we will be providing these families with blankets, food, milk and any other requirements. We will also revisit the families we met 3 years ago to make sure that your donations are being used correctly. This will also enable us to experience first-hand the affect Khasla Aid has had on their lives.
