We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Welcome to the Tenacious Turtles Just Giving page for Dementia UK.

We Turtles, Elizabeth Rowden, Sarah Swift, Karen Clarke and Karen Peedell are currently in training to complete a 4 person English Channel relay swim in July 2023.

This winter we have been braving early morning, cold sea swims (7 degrees) alongside warmer pool training.

To further boost our endeavours and spur us on for a successful crossing we are aiming to raise as much as we can in donations for Dementia UK. They provide specialist nurses to support people and their loved ones living with dementia. Between us we have all had someone close to us in our lives affected by dementia and would like this challenge to benefit our chosen charity.

If you can help us raise money for this great cause, we would be “e- turtley grateful to have your support.

Thank you.

Our training is hotting up and hopefully so will the sea temperatures by July!
