Hello everyone, on 13th April 2014, I will be running, probably in tears of pain, the London Marathon - my first ever race at that distance. Go me!
I have chosen to raise money for Refuge, an incredibly important charity that provides support for women and children when it's most needed. This year they are really suffering the effects of local authority funding cuts and your support will mean that they can keep the doors of their vital frontline services open.
I've pledged to raise at least £1700. Anything you feel able to donate would be massively helpful. And for those of you who would like to spare yourselves from my constant chat about lycra, fitness, PBs, and all things running, I am offering to never to speak a word about it to you again for a donation of a whopping £50, which I know for some of you will seem like a small price to pay for the peaceful silence this would bring to your lives.
So please do give a little somethingsomething, and feel free to come along on the day and cheer, shout abuse, laugh, and take embarrassing photos of me in agony at mile 21.
