Story
On 28th March 2018 our lives changed forever, our beautiful little boy was born way too soon. After a very rocky start due to a large hematoma our boy fought his hardest and went from strength to strength. We had scans almost weekly and at 17 weeks we were told the hematoma had appeared to get smaller! Things were looking up and we could finally start to relax. At 18 weeks we found out i had caught slapped cheek (parvovirus b12) this caused our baby to develop fetal anemia, this meant he would need to have a blood transfusion whilst in the womb. Without the transfusion his organs would fill with fluid and his heart would fail. We had to give him a fighting chance so at 18 weeks and 2 days he had the transfusion. At 18 weeks and 5 days we had another scan. This is when we found out his body couldn't cope with the transfusion and that we had lost him. I carried him for 2 days and at 19 weeks we went to hospital where I was induced. After only a few hours of labour baby Terence Arthur came into this world. Born sleeping he looked perfect to us, we held him and kissed him and stayed untill we were ready to say goodbye. One of the things which helped us tremendously was the memory box we received at hospital from the 4louis charity. The memory box was filled with a lot of meaningful items Including a postcard to heaven, an acknowledgement of life and a card where the hospital printed his hand and footprints for us. The memory box is something we will now treasure along with our gorgeous boys memory. Alot of people have asked about buying flowers for Terence's funeral and instead of flowers we would rather donations to 4louis so that they can continue to provide these boxes other parents who have lost their angels. Thank you all so much for reading and donating, love Gemma, Terry and Logan xxx
