Police Unity Tour · 5 March 2017

COPS is a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. We aim to ensure that surviving family members have the help they need to cope with such tragedy and they remain part of the police family.

Story

In late July, alongside several hundred police officers and staff from across the UK, I'll be riding close to 200 miles over two days from London to the Police Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, as part of the UK Police Unity Tour.

The Police Unity Tour is a bike tour to mark the lives of police officers who have sadly passed away while in service.  The tour raises money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) which looks after the families of those who have lost a loved one in the police service.

To date, my longest ride has been 50 miles, and that was some years ago.  But I have a new bike, a clean bill of health and I am committed to riding this event.  Training begins in earnest next week, go on sponsor me, it's very motivating!
