At the start of 2019 I set myself a goal to lose weight and get fit. I’m not doing very well so figured I needed a challenge; and then I was asked if I fancied running the Bacchus half marathon - 13 miles around Denbie’s Vineyard where the water stations also offer wine... well if I’m going to run I may as well do it with wine - especially as I’ve never run further than 8k before!

To stop myself from wussing out I’ve decided to fundraise for two charities that are close to my heart; Cancer Research and this the Dogs Trust. I got my beautiful boy Rex from the Dogs Trust in August 2015; he’s changed my life completely for the better, we’re best pals. There are so many beautiful dogs of all ages and breeds across the country who end up in the Dogs Trust and they look after them all, with the best care and attention until they find their ‘furever’ Home.
