Terry's Motoring to Normandy

Terry Thomas is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Motoring to Normandy · 22 May 2022

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On May 22, 2022 a group of friends will set off from Menai  Bridge in Anglesey,  to Pegasus Bridge in Normandy in their two vintage vehicles in a challenge  to raise awareness for the need to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

Myself and Alan Horne accompanied by friends Richard
Jones and Arwel Douglas Jones will set off from The Anglesey Arms Hotel at 9am.

The idea for the challenge arose from a discussion over a pint after Terry’s wife June had succumbed to the disease over a mere four months in 2020.  Since that time at least two more people in our community on Anglesey have succumbed in the same brutal and unrelenting way.
