In April last year, our family suffered an unimaginable loss when my beloved nephew, Leyton Taylor, tragically took his own life. Leyton was loved by so many people, and his loss has left a space in our lives that can never truly be filled.

Sadly, suicide remains one of the leading causes of death among young people and adults under 35 in the UK. Behind every statistic is a son, daughter, brother, sister, friend, teammate, or loved one whose absence is felt every single day. We are determined to honour Leyton's memory by helping to raise awareness and support for those who may be struggling.

That is why we are proud to be supporting PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, a charity dedicated to preventing suicide and promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. Through their vital work, they provide confidential support, advice, and hope to young people and their families when they need it most.

To raise funds for this incredible cause, we are hosting the Leyton Taylor Papyrus Cup & Family Fun Day.

The centrepiece of the day will be a pre-season football match between Scole United Reserves and AFC Brundall, with the winners proudly lifting the inaugural Leyton Taylor Papyrus Cup. More than just a football match, this event is about bringing people together, celebrating community spirit, and remembering a young man who will never be forgotten.
