Terry Martin, an amazing dad, husband and Grandad, died in a road accident late January 2017 - he left for work and never came home. That night and many days after were and still are painful beyond belief but without the support from our family, friends and work colleagues, the toughest time in our lives, would have been much much harder.

I am running the Great South Run to raise money for Brake, a road safety charity who work with communities and organisations across the UK to stop the tragedy of road deaths and injuries, make streets and communities safer for everyone, and support people bereaved and seriously injured on roads. 

Brake provided support for my family from help packs supplied by our Family liaison and a phone line for help to cope with grief and guidance on what to do or where to go.
