The virtual Black Dog marathon for the NSPCC · 1 July 2020

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

The Bungay Black Dog Running Club, which had to cancel its annual marathon in April because of lockdown, is organising a virtual virus 10k run during July in aid of the NSPCC and the Boadicea charity. As entrants can walk it if they like I have entered, and I’m seeking sponsors for the NSPCC. Each entrant can choose which day they do the run (walk!) during July so I’ll decide that later. 10k is only about six and a half miles and as I’ve done that distance several times while walking a lot during the lock down I’m confident of completing it!
