Whether it was a good idea or not, we’ve all signed up for Tour O’ the Borders and are attempting to raise some money for a great cause. With training being a little more prevalent for some and only two weeks to go, the 75 miles around the hilly borders promises to be a good old challenge for most!

We are raising money for the Yard, a playground for children with physical disabilities or learning difficulties that gives them space to explore, join in and make friends – things that they can be excluded from in other environments.

And, if you didn’t think 75 miles was enough…we are raising the bar with an eclectic array of bikes… Chris has opted for the uni-cycle, Planning and Reporting are sticking together with Nicole and Paul on the Tandem and, somewhat ironically, Richard has drawn the short straw and will complete the route on his penny-farthing. As Aiden is actually in with a fighting chance of winning he’s been let off the hook and will use his own road bike.

So please find those spare pennies and help motivate us across that finish line! If anything else I’m sure you can all laugh at us limping around the Monday after.
