There are 4.2 million people in the UK with Type 2 diabetes and 7 million living with heart disease. Tesco, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation are on a mission to help reduce the number of people at risk by helping millions of people eat better, get active and make healthier choices.

Story

Hello,

We are climbing mountains - all in a great cause!

A few members of the Tesco team will be walking the British Three Peaks Challenge on 18-20 August, to raise money for the Tesco National Charity Partnership - The British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

That means getting to the top of three mountains - starting at Ben Nevis, moving onto Scafell Pike and finishing with Snowdon, making a total climb of 3,056m, completing one mountain in darkess, and with a hope to be finished in around 24 hours.

We wanted to take on this challenge to help support and raise awareness for these two inspirational charities, and the money we raise will be shared jointly to help people lead healthier, longer and more active lives.

If we could ask for your support to help us do so, it really would be greatly appreciated.

A big thank you from "Team Tesco"

Dave Lewis, Jason Tarry, Alan Stewart, Alison Horner, Adrian Morris, Tony Hoggett, Therese Procter, Kari Daniels and Tim Smith
