Story
In 2012, whilst walking our family dog on a public footpath, Tess was kicked in the face by a horse. The situation was dire, and due to the nature of the location a traditional ambulance was unable to reach her, and an Air Ambulance was required to save her life.
We feel a huge amount of gratitude for the existence of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and others like it around the UK. Nobody can say how or when they might need the help of an Air Ambulance, but we believe that they are an essential and life-saving asset to all of us.
Unfortunately these charities receive no public funding, and operate entirely on public support, and it is because of this we will be running the Great North Run for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity in Tess's homeland of Newcastle only a few weeks after her 60th birthday!
We hope you can spare any amount, no matter how small, to help us reach our fundraising goal!
Thank you,
Tess and Jim
