Lockdown Half Marathon · 28 March 2021

We are a charity that supports all non-abusing parents & carers of children who have been sexually abused, helping them to build resilience & move on with their lives. With a small army of volunteers, we run a national helpline & services including counselling, advocacy, play therapy and training.

Story

I am a trustee at a charity called Mosac. Mosac supports the non-abusing parents and carers of children who have been sexually abused. Mosac's goal is to provide the non-abusing members of families with the help that they need to move on positively with their lives. With over 27 years of experience, Mosac provides a range of life-changing services - from counselling and emotional support through to legal advocacy, training and workshop.

The last year we have seen our busiest year ever to our helpline as families are struggling with the conditions of lockdown and they are often experiencing significant trauma by the time they contact us. Staff and volunteers are working incredibly hard to keep services going and continue to meet the rising need that the charity is responding to.

I have decided to run my own personal half marathon by the end of March to raise money for Mosac. I hope to do it in under 2 hours, which would be a Personal Best for me. I would be delighted if you could sponsor me and help raise funds for this great cause.
