Pippa Stott is raising money for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust
Story
For my Starting Blocks I will be running the Brighton Marathon in April. As most of you know, this will be my first marathon and I will be raising funds for Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.
Joining an athletics club at 13 was my Starting Block, it gave me a drive, some of my closest friends, a network of encouragement to study Sport at University and an ongoing hobby providing a physical and mental boost.
Working for the Trust, I have seen first hand the impact of our support. Not every young person has the opportunity or inspiration to unlock their potential and find their Starting Block in life. The Trust vision is that all young people should have an equal opportunity to be the best version of themselves. We use world class athletes to mentor young people facing challenges in their everyday lives to help unlock their potential.
Over the next 10 years, we will support 10,000 young people facing disadvantage due to inequality in their everyday lives to become the best version of themselves.
