Most people think of slavery as a thing of the past, but it is actually estimated that there are more people trapped in slavery today than at any other point in human history. That is why Anti-Slavery Day takes place on 18th October each year, to raise awareness and put a spotlight on the fact that millions of men, women and children continue to be victims of slavery, depriving them of basic human dignity and freedom.
I am proud to be taking part in Go the Distance 2021 to help raise the vital funds and awareness needed to ensure that Hope for Justice can continue to rescue and restore more people affected by this horrendous crime.
