Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page, now you're here please dig out your purse or wallet and make my 26 miles less painful by helping me raise as much as I can for LEPRA!

I am running the marathon in memory of my father who sadly died last year. Amongst his many attributes Rex was an incredibly talented doctor and surgeon. LEPRA sponsored Rex's research in the 1970s when he made three visits to Dichpali Hospital in Central India. Here he carried out pioneering research into the transmission of Leprosy, using nasal biopsys he was able to establish that the disease was spread via the nose. I was fortunate enough to accompany my father on a follow up visit in 1986.

LEPRA's work covers an estimated 300 million people in some of the world's most deprived countries. Building on more than 80 years of experience, they now address not only leprosy prevention and treatment, but also other diseases of poverty including TB, HIV and malaria. For more details please folow the link at the top of the page.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: LEPRA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support and look out for me on 22nd April!
