THE REASON,

We are fundraising for The Salisbury Hospice Charity in memory of our teams organisers late father Mark Sheridan, who sadly passed away from his battle of cancer in November 2021.

Mark was under the care of the Salisbury hospice for a short time towards the end of his life and they could not have been any better if they tried. They ensured that Mark could be at home for his final weeks rather than in the hospice itself, which was his wish. they ensured that he had everything he needed when he needed it and were incredibly caring towards his and the families needs.

This hospice has also played a large part in another team members life, Matthew (Huck) as they also looked after his late mother, Jacqueline in her final months, again they were incredibly good to her and the family, and more recently they looked after his good friend, Darren, before he sadly lost his battle. All of the staff that work at this hospice are a credit to the charity and fundraising for them is the least we can do.

This event was originally planned in for 2020 before Covid scuppered the plans, and Mark was due to be a part of the driving team for this so he will be incredibly missed during this event. the team will ensure they take his Watford Scarf up each peak so that a part of him also completes the challenge.

THE CHALLENGE,

The team of 7 made up by a majority of work colleagues, supported by 3 drivers, aim to complete the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales respectively in under 24 hours or as close to as possible.

they will start their trek on Saturday the 28th of May 2022 (Covid restrictions allowing) in Scotland, ascending Ben Nevis, before travelling down to Yorkshire, England where they will ascend Scaffell Pike in darkness and aim to then get to north Wales and complete Snowdon within the 24 hour timescale.

THE TEAM,

  • Liam
  • Huck
  • Craig
  • Greg
  • Andy
  • Nick
  • Charlotte
  • Langers
  • + Drivers, Martyn and Paul

The team will be ending their challenge with a trip to zip world as a little reward.
