Race to the sun · 29 August 2015

Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children. We fight for answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself, Kacey Lindsay, Micky Carroll & Paul Sharp are going to be testing our bodies to the limit when we will be attempting to complete cycling, climbing and canoeing starting just before sunrise and aiming to finish before sunset - racing the sun! We will be cycling 50 miles (80km), hiking to the summit of England's second highest mountain - Helvellyn at 3,116ft (950m) and canoeing a 3km course on Lake Thirlmere!

This is all in the name of a great cause! We are hoping to raise £2000 for Action Medical Research which has supported some of the most significant medical breakthrough's in recent history that have helped save and change children's lives.

Action Medical research helps to fund a wide range of research  which covers many different conditions affecting babies, children and young people. Please check out the link if you would like to find out more about this charity and some of the amazing stories!
