Hello, my name is Adz

When i was younger I became mentally ill which took away much of my teenage years. It was around this period in my life where I read an article in a magazine about Drew Barrymores past troubles.

I felt that from Drew I gained a new sense of strength that helped me pull through. After reading about all the negativity that she went through in her childhood I realised that if she was able to pull herself through that then I could do the same myself.

After 4 years I did managed to make it through and to this day still believe that without Drew’s story and the inspiration I found in it, I would’ve struggled to make it this far and actually become a better person in the process.

I feel that I have the utmost respect and admiration for her. I am hoping to one day be able to meet Drew, to tell her thank you for being my inspiration and a light during some dark times, to live my life to the fullest.

In my journey of attempting to meet Drew I am hoping that I can raise awareness of mental health issues and that I can show that nothing is impossible.

My challenge is simple, I want to personally be able to thank Drew Barrymore and show her the effect that she has had upon me inspiring me to raise money for charity.

I plan to document this experience of attempting to meet her in the form of a video with a planned deadline of September 3^rd 2019 which I would plan to make available with further proceeds being donated to charity.
