In memory of Lee Earnshaw

Guts UK is the charity for the digestive system. Our guts have been underfunded, understaffed & undervalued for decades. Guts UK’s work leads to earlier diagnoses, kinder treatments & ultimately, a cure, through funding research, raising awareness, and providing information.

Story

My name is Joshua Earnshaw, recently I lost my father to stage 4 stomach cancer. In memory of my father, Lee Andrew Earnshaw, I would like to raise vital funds for Guts UK, a cancer charity dedicated to research surrounding digestive system cancers. Funding for such cancers has for many years been underfunded, and now with fewer than 1 in 5 people diagnosed with stomach cancer will survive beyond five years after diagnosis.

I will be running 43km on my birthday, the 3rd April. The idea of this event is to encourage everyone to take part, in any capacity, relating to the number '43'. It could be:

  • Walking for 43 minutes
  • Exercising for 43 consecutive days
  • Climbing 43 flights of stairs
  • Eating 43 Jaffa Cakes
  • Literally, anything you can think of..........

Let's fight this disease together and raise awareness for this disease and raise funds to support the essential research necessary to combat it.
