April Eleanor Rose Jackson was born on the 24th October 2015, weighing a tiny 2lb 5oz. Our tiny bundle of joy arrived 10 weeks early, when Lisa was rushed into hospital with severe pre-eclampsia.

Our world was turned upside down as we discovered what it was like to have a premature baby.  Living on a knife edge day to day in the Neo-natal unit, worrying constantly, feeling numb, not being able to pick your baby up and feeling totally out of control.

April was a tough cookie and pulled through – she is our miracle baby.

We couldn't have got through our journey without the support of the amazing team at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough and the special care unit at the Cumberland Infirmary.  Therefore we wanted to give something back, to help more babies born prematurely and their families, who really need support during that difficult time.

Any money raised also goes towards The April Eleanor Rose Jackson Sunshine Fund - which celebrates the life of our miracle baby!
