The Austerity Ball · 20 January 2013

Trailblazers reduces re-offending among young people. We provide support both inside Youth Offending Institutions (YOIs) and on release into the community by matching beneficiaries with volunteer mentors. We support young people to reach their potential and lead a life free from crime.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This is the Just Giving page for The Austerity Ball that you have been invited to attend on the 29th February 2013. This is in recognition of the fact that, in the current climate, you may prefer to pay £50 a head, (all of it eligible for Gift Aid), for tickets for a party which you will not have to attend. This, we hoped, would be an attractive alternative to paying £150, (not eligible for Gift aid), to attend a ball that raises a similar amount for the relevant charity, but which would have required you to dress up and go out for an evening of eating and drinking!

There was one genuine incentive to encourage you to buy tickets. Johnny and Clare Cameron will donate one week’s stay (not July/August) in their new house in Corfu to the lucky winner of a random draw of all those who have bought two or more tickets. Full details of the house can be found at www.thestonehousecorfu.co.uk .

This event is in aid of TrailblazersTrailblazers is a very special organisation; a small charity that punches above its weight and makes an incredible difference to both mentors and mentees.  We really do hope that you will be able to support our work in giving young people a fresh platform to demonstrate their talents and a new chance in life, as well as improving our communities and reducing reoffending.

So please dig deep and donate now.
