Story
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. That's the same time it takes to play three holes of golf. That's why local amateur golfers are going the extra mile and taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer.
Local Business Owners David Sweales (Totally Dynamic Norfolk) and Matt Allison (Golf Geeks) will play 4 consecutive full rounds of golf (walking no buggies) in August 2021.
Like most people, we have had their lives sadly touched by cancer & when we saw the idea of the ‘Big Golf Race’ to raise money for a great cause it was the perfect challenge. The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to the men and families affected.
Wensum Valley Golf & Country Club in Norwich have kindly helped us with tee times, apparel, refreshments & any other support needed during the day.
It’s estimated that on hole distance alone we will walk around 40 miles between us and hit the golf ball over 700 times!
We would really appreciate any support you can give for this great cause & challenge with all funds raised going straight to Prostate Cancer UK & the link to the Just Giving sponsorship page is below.
Thanks in advance for your support, it means a lot to both David & Matt.
All donations would be greatly appreciated and received
