Story
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. That's the same time it takes to play three holes of golf. That's why we are golfing the distance and taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer. The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
We are going to play three rounds of golf in one day - that's around 12 hours of traipsing through the rough looking for our golf balls in between the odd good shot!
Surely the 'heroism' is worth a donation?!
UPDATE: we have now confirmed that we are playing three rounds at Hampton Court Golf Club. The course is 6,500 yards which means we will be walking almost 18km on the holes alone if we only hit straight shots. Which we won't! HCGC have very kindly said they'll save the very first tee time of the day for us as well as having a collection pot on the bar throughout the day as well. Thanks very much to David at https://www.hamptoncourtgolf.co.uk/ for all the support.
